Summer Safari
Each year when the weather warms and the long summer days stretch into beautiful Colorado sunsets, The Wild Animal Sanctuary holds its major annual fundraiser, “Summer Safari” on the 3rd Saturday of June. It’s a festive evening at the Sanctuary, complete with sumptuous barbecue, mellow music with live performers, and the occasional “Lion concert” (where all the Lions join in their own kind of roaring music that can be heard for miles) and dueling “Wolf howls” from the sanctuary’s three different wolf packs.
