Thank You for Visiting

Again, thank you for your visit today; we hope you enjoyed yourself! Please let us know if there is anything that we could have done to make your visit more enjoyable. We hope that you now have a greater appreciation for the problem of captive wildlife and what organizations like the Sanctuary are doing to help remedy the situation. Please feel free to take a Tour Guide as well as some newsletters, both for your own reading pleasure and to share with others. We know that many supporters visit many times a year, and we hope you become one of them. If that is not possible, please consider continuing to support the Sanctuary from afar so we can continue to say “yes” to more animal rescues.

We Can’t Do It Without You

As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, the Sanctuary relies exclusively on donations from supporters like you to exist, and fulfill its mission of rescuing voiceless animals in need. The Sanctuary simply wouldn’t exist without the support of generous donors. Please know how much your visit today means to us, and we hope you consider becoming more involved with our work.  If you choose to donate in person or online, keep in mind that many employers have matching gift programs that double the impact. We also ask that you allow today’s visit to sink in over the coming days and weeks as you reflect on the beautiful animals you saw—but also knowing that there are still thousands of animals trapped in similar cycles of abuse and neglect across the country, and they need our help, too.

Adopting and Pledging

Two of the easiest and most rewarding ways to support the Sanctuary are by either adopting an animal or pledging a certain amount of money each month. Adoptions are for small, medium or large animals. Adoptions on behalf of a particular animal range from $10 per month for a small animal to $20 per month for a medium animal, and $30 per month for a large animal. Adopting either a medium or large animal qualifies a person to become an Active Supporter, in which case they are able to visit as often as they would like and bring up to three guests at no cost. We provide this opportunity so that Active Supporters can share the Sanctuary and our mission with others. Please check with a Welcome Center associate or visit our website to find out more information about adopting and pledging. We thank you in advance for your support!

Circle of Life Society

Supporters of the Sanctuary can become members of the Circle of Life Society by including the Sanctuary in their estate planning. This can be in the form of naming the Sanctuary as a beneficiary of an insurance policy or by simply including the Sanctuary in one’s will. If you would like more information about this, please give us a call and speak to one of our staff members in the Development Office. This form of philanthropy is one of the best ways to help animals well into the future.  And to honor such farsighted individuals, a luncheon is held for them each spring here at the Sanctuary.  Please consider this wonderful way to change the world for the better.
